The Republicans' contempt for our soldiers is painfully obvious to anyone who looks beyond their lip service and examines their policies. Canadian Cynic has summed up the latest abuse at the hands of the Republicans nicely.

I think that when Colin Powell was fired, the troops lost the last person who was really looking out for them.

Anonymous - so, you have no problem with the FACTS as to how the troops are being treated?
Republicans must hate the troops if they aren't taking an exit strategy seriously right now. And if they are not paying attention to soldiers returning home from Iraq who need the government's help.
You are painfully mistaken and making a very broad generalization.
Reading stories like this and seeing how the Bush administration treats PEOPLE makes me want to vomit. This article goes a long way in proving how "supporting the troops" and "supporting the president" are NOT the same thing (despite the fact that conservatives have convinced themselves otherwise).
