NAV4GOD

That was the vanity plate on a white Licoln Navigator on the freeway yesterday. What kind of interpretation of the teachings of Christ would make somebody think that it's OK to buy a big-ass, gas guzzling SUV for one's own self, and then get plates that say that it's for God? In what way is it for God? Maybe getting a van and driving orphans around would be for God. But to declare one's piety on VANITY plates for a vehicle that is for yourself is, well, taking the Lord's name in vain, in the most literal sense possible.
