My Letter to Senator Feinstein

Dear Senator Feinstein,

With all due respect, why are you still in the Democratic Party? Unlike your colleague, Senator Boxer, you seem to have no interest in doing what is best for the country and the people of the state of California. I have always voted Democrat, but I am seriously considering not voting for your re-election. What is the point of having you as a Democratic Senator if you are going to capitulate to the Republicans time and again?

Your failure to take Condalezza Rice to task for lying to us regarding Iraq is the latest in a series of disappointments regarding your conduct as my representative, the second most recently being your refusal to take a stand regarding the electoral irregularities in Ohio.

In case you hadn't noticed, the Republican party has the goal of destroying the Democratic Party and everything that they see standing in their way to complete corporate domination of this country.

You need to decide what side you are on. I have a list of questions for you:

Do you believe that it is acceptable to conduct elections rife with fraud and intimidation?

Do you believe that lying to the public in order to pursue a needless war is acceptable?

Do you believe that torturing detainees is a good way to get information?

Do you believe that the government should be able to detain indefinitely, with no evidence, anyone they wish?

Do you believe that the government has the right to intrude into our bedrooms, living rooms, and doctors' offices?

Do you believe that only businesses should have the right to sue?

Do you believe that corporations should have the right to do whatever they want, including falsifying financial statements, polluting, discriminating against employees, defrauding the government, and making dangerous, even lethal products?

Please give these questions some honest thought. (Hint: the correct answer to the above questions is NO.) I will be looking for your response in the way you conduct yourself in your capacity as Senator of the great state of California. Don't disappoint me again.

Sincerely,
David XXXXX

If Senator Finestein was a beer she would be "Republican Lite". Her husband is the "China Connection" a global trader of commodities and one of the people who got even richer from the Clinton Legacy: NAFTA and the World Trade Orginisation.

Politicians should always be held accountable. They should be asked questions over and over again until they provide answers. Thank you for writing this letter. I hope others will be encouraged to do the same. More voices need to be heard.

Don't the poor residents of CA already have enough Democrats in government? Maybe it would be good to have a Republican senator from that state.
