Bush and Social Security

On The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night, they showed a clip of Bush in one of his fake town-hall appearances, with a hand-selected audience of mostly black people. He said that Social Security is unfair to African-American males because they don't live as long as other males. It struck me as a really weird rationale for his scam. Then, today at work, I did a little Googling, and I found this from the Cato Intstitute, the nation's leader in cooking up weird rationales.

Now, something to remember is that conservatives have been wanting to do away with Social Security since before it began, and they're just always finding different ways to sell it. I was going to write a bunch on this and the current scam in the works, but The Talent Show, and David J. Roberts at the Philidelphia Daily News have already done a good job.
